In the last of three science inspired tales, Colin Russell compares viruses and their different strategies to transmit. After all, it is not the virus that can kill the fastest, nor the one that spreads the fastest that we have to be the most afraid of. It’s the one that can handle a changing environment. Russell gives two examples of successful viruses to prove this point: the rabies virus and the influenza virus.
The Science Inspired Tales have been recorded before a live audience in the Albert Hall Complex Theatre in Brussels on 23 May 2012.
