World Diabetes Day 2023: Why Influenza and Diabetes are important to consider jointly?
People with diabetes face a higher risk for influenza and its complications. National and international guidelines therefore advise that diabetes patients be annually vaccinated against influenza. With the support of Sanofi, the Influenza Diabetes Community conducted a communications campaign throughout November and December to raise awareness of the impact of influenza on diabetes patients. Why Influenza and Diabetes are important to consider jointly? Health professionals, scientists, pharmacists, public health officials, people living with diabetes, civil servants, and associations addressed this question.
