#ESWISummit: Meet our early career scientists (ECaS)

The ESWI Early Career Scientists (ECaS) Community aims to connect early career scientists working in the field of acute respiratory viruses, and provides a platform for them to share their work with the broader acute respiratory virus community.

Through the ECaS Community, ESWI has awarded nine early career scientists with funding to attend the upcoming ESWI Respiratory Virus Summit on 11 June 2026. They will have the the opportunity to showcase their cutting-edge research in the field of respiratory virus infections, and have also been invited to join a specialised workshop on the science-policy interface and effective communication strategies, led by the Director of the ESWI Secretariat Aida Bakri.

Register for the ESWI Respiratory Virus Summit to hear first-hand from our early career scientists as they take centre-stage during the Science Slam.
