Bridging the Gap: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Respiratory Infections and NCDs

We are delighted to let you know that the Interdisciplinary Disease Collaboration on Respiratory Infections and NCDs (IDC) has been relaunched with a broadened mission and scope. We are kicking off the new IDC with a Community meeting (webinar) on 5 March

Join the Chairs of the IDC, Marco Goeijenbier, Spaarne Gasthuis, NL, Tor Biering-Sørensen, University of Copenhagen, DK, and Kirsty Short, Queensland University, AU, to present the expanded scope and explore the critical intersection of respiratory virus infections and noncommunicable diseases.

We know that those with NCDs face higher risks of severe infection, but we are also increasingly aware that even mild respiratory viruses can act as a catalyst for the onset or exacerbation of chronic conditions.
